Department of Education dates are divided into two groups of states – Kumpulan A and Kumpulan B. Kumpulan A states are those states with Friday and Saturday as weekends (Johor, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu). Kumpulan B states are those states with Saturday and Sunday as weekends (all other states and territories).
